Thanks Frost! I watched this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDYsa-o0K-g then once you have the pattern saved you select the area you want the pattern with the magic wand tool and use the paint bucket tool set on ‘pattern’ to fill the area.. The fill tool has that weird thing where it leaves a little white around the edges, so you have to add a layer filled w/ the outline color underneath if you don’t want the white
